Cu toții visăm la o lume liberă în care nu contează câți bani ai pentru a fi fericit. Nu spun că fericirea e neapărat condiționată de volumul portofelului sau al contului bancar, însă nu pot fi absurdă să afirm că nu avem nevoie de bani pentru nimic. Ne dorim multe lucruri și suntem nevoiți să renunțăm la ele datorită lipsei finanțelor...
Sunt o visătoare incurabilă și astfel că
mi-am imaginat cam ce aș face eu dacă dintr-o dată banii nu ar mai fi o
problemă de luat în calcul. Mai corect ar fi: cum ar arăta viața mea.
Dacă
banii nu ar avea valoare...
...aș fi un călător prin lume. Probabil că
nu aș sta mai mult de o săptămână într-un singur loc, iar asta s-ar întâmpla
fiindcă Pământul e un loc fascinant și merită descoperit cât mai mult cu
putință.
...aș avea un palat plin de cărți.
Indiferent câte volume mă așteaptă acasă, nu mă pot abține vreodată din a
cumpăra o carte cât de mică atunci când trec pragul unei librării. Aș face
prăpăd dacă nu ar trebui să mă limitez din cauza banilor.
...aș mânca cele mai sofisticate dulciuri.
Nu mă refer să le încerc, ci efectiv să înlocuiesc cele trei mese zilnice cu
delicatese dulci. Ar fi Raiul pe Pământ.
M-am limitat la un top 3, pentru că aș
putea enumera la nesfârșit. Am dorințe puerile, știu. Totuși, mă îndoiesc că nu
tânjește cineva după călătorii gratuite pretutindeni. Nelimitate. Doamne, acum aș
pleca de nebună.
Cum e gluma aceea: "râdem, glumim, dar
nu părăsim incinta". Vreau să spun astfel că încerc să revin la realitate
și să evidențiez binele comun ce la o primă vedere ar reieși dintr-o lume
aparent utopică. Nu ar mai exista foamete. Toți oamenii ar beneficia în mod
nemijlocit de resursele pe care ni le oferă Terra. Nimeni nu ar mai fi
considerat norocos pentru că s-a născut într-o familie cu o stare materială
bună ce îi permite să aibă anumite privilegii.
Mă gândesc însă că specia umană nu e
pregătită să ia o asemenea responsabilitate și de aceea a creat regulile pe
care le urmăm cu atâta strictețe. Ce s-ar întâmpla dacă ni s-ar da frâu liber? Ar prelua lăcomia controlul sau am trăi
într-o comunitate cu pace deplină?...

We all have dreams of a free world in which the money you have don't influence your happiness. I'm not saying that happiness is
necessarily conditioned by the volume of the wallet or the bank account, but I
cannot be absurd to say that we do not need money for anything. We want many
things and we have to give up on them because of the lack of finances...
I'm an incurable dreamer, and so I pictured what I would do
if suddenly the money was not a matter to consider. More specifically: how
would my life look like.
If money didn't have
value...
...I would be a traveler through the world. I probably would
not stay for more than a week in one place, and that would happen because Earth
is a fascinating place and it's worth exploring as much as possible.
...I would have a palace full of books. No matter how many
volumes await me at home, I can never help myself from buying a book no matter
how small when I get into a bookshop. I would do a lot of damages if I did not
have to limit myself because of money.
...I would eat the most sophisticated sweets. I do not mean
to try them, but actually to replace the three daily meals with delicious
sweets. It would be Heaven on Earth.
I have limited myself to a top 3, because I could list
endlessly. I have small wishes, I know. However, I doubt that there is anyone who does not want free trips everywhere. Unlimited. God, I would go right now.
That’s like the old joke: "we laugh, we joke, but we do
not leave the precinct." I want to say that I try to get back to reality
and highlight the common good that at first sight would emerge from a seemingly
utopian world. There would be no more starvation. All humans would benefit
directly from the resources that Earth offers us. No one would have been lucky
enough to have been born in a family with a good material state that allows
certain privileges.
But I think that the human race is not prepared to take such
a responsibility, which is why we created the rules that we follow so strictly.
What would happen if we were free to do whatever we want? Would the greed take control or would we live in a peaceful community?...
